About

Charlotte Vaughan is a London-based singer and actress, born and raised in South Wales – Port Talbot and Porthcawl for those familiar with the rolling hills of Gwalia. She found herself at The Guildhall School Of Music And Drama at the age of eighteen and after four years of queuing eagerly for practice rooms, sipping tea in the cafe, being joyously awe-struck by the talent of those around her and sporadically weeping, she graduated with a BMus(Hons) in 2014. Near the end of her time there she performed in a student production of Jason Robert Browns Songs For A New World that would take her in a somewhat thrilling and unanticipated direction.

So began her time at The Royal Academy of Music on the one year Diploma in Musical Theatre. Her coffee-powered, one-hundred-mile-an-hour’ed days didn’t allow much time for the outside world or her loved ones but at least they did entail cantering through the reams of people queuing outside Madame Tussauds and laughing quizzically. Whilst there, she played the role of Alice in Closer, Fosca in Passion, Sarah Jane Moore in Assassins and Nettie in Carousel.

Charlotte joined the cast of The Phantom Of The Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre in September 2015 as an ensemble member and 1st Understudy Carlotta, she was lucky enough to play the role over two-hundred and twenty times over two years. She took part in the illustrious 30th birthday celebrations, West End Live! and was a cast member when the show won an Olivier Award (so, interpret that however you wish…).

Charlotte regularly provides session vocals, performs in concerts around the UK and has recently taken part in the workshop process of several new musicals.
